Card Rarity is very important for Trading because some cards are rare and some cards are not, You may not get cards you want if you don’t know How Rare is it. How can you know which cards is Rare Cards and How Rare is it?
Japanese Card Rate is Your Answer, JPN Card Rate is a Rate Chart created by Japanese Player from game2channel BBS. It’s a Rate Chart to to see which card is rarer, How rare it is in YU-GI-Oh Online. They update it often and change a Rate when new cards come.
6 Things you need to know about Japanese Card Rate
1. Japanese Card Rate don’t Rate banned card and don’t rate All Cards in the game
2. It rate cards by how hard it can get not how useful it is but there are some exception such as some useful GS6 is rarer than GS7 win
3. It’s a rate chart creating for Trading in JPN Lobby not English Lobby but the rate still usable in other lobby because It’s rate card by how hard it can get
4. Value of cards change everytime, some cards may remove from the rate some may return
5. They update it Frequency but I’m not If you can read JPN You can read at game2channel BBS itself
6. Japanese Card Rate is The Most Popular Post in this site more than 20,000 Page View on it, a lot of people in this game using Japanese Card Rate to determine value of the cards
Other than JPN Card Rate There is Card Value from Vertecles using MP Value to determine Rarity (Card Value also base on Japanese Card Rate).
You should know that Rarity change everytime and everytime There is a Currency for it,
In The Past after a few month YU-GI-OH Online released while there are no Mileage Cards : Magician of Faith, Lord of Dragon and Harpie Lady Sisters are currency for Trading because It’s hard to get it from the pack.

a lot of people collecting it because it can trade to any cards they want but when Mileage System was Launched Slate Warrior become a Trade Currency because It’s 30 Mileage Points (You need to put Duel Pass Code 30 Times to get it) make it hard to get at that time (It’s also a powerful monster during those period).

Note : 1 Mileage Point in the past = 10 MP now because Milage Points total you amassed before 12/10/2007 will be multiplied by 10 From 12/10/2007 so 30 Mileage Points = 300 MP in present
The only way to get GS Cards during that time is to trade Slate Warriors or other GS to get it but not all GS have a value Barrel Dragon is the example.

Barrel Dragon is GS7 win card but It’s not a Rare Card because It’s only one GS card that Re-release again in Booster Pack 14 It’s Rare for a while after Booster Pack 14 release It’s become common card No Rare and No Value.
Some Gunslinger Cards that Re-release again in other form will drop down in Value, This Type of Card is Vorse Raider, Sebek’s Blessing and Anniversary Trial 50 Cards.

Vorse Raider Alt Art and Sebek’s Blessing are both GS5 win cards but GS Vorse Raider re-release again by NPC (You can get it by winning Seto Kaiba 5 times), Sebek’s Blessing re-release again in Duel Pass Dinosaur’s Roar.
This case also apply to YOC : Skull Dice and Big Shield Gardna (Top 4&Top 16 YOC Cards From Summer Championship 2005) Re-release again in Booster Pack 21 and Beginner’s Pack3 make it drop down in value not only this 2 YOC, 30 Mileage Point Slate Warrior also in Booster Pack 21

Note : There are only 2 YOC Cards that Re-release again in Booster Pack It’s Skull Dice&Big Shield Gardna
When we talk about Card Rarity We also need to learn Mileage system from The Past because It will tell you Why some cards are Rare, Some aren’t.
Mileage System in The Past divide into 3 Phase each phase have 1 Top Mileage Card (Most Expensive Mileage Card), Those cards will not remove until new Phase come (Other Mileage Cards got remove when Konami add some cards into Mileage List)
1st Phase (2005/07/29-2005/12/01) : Top Mileage Card is Slate Warrior (30 Mileage Points)

After this card release in Booster Pack 21 It’s drop down in value but still rare because It’s hard to get it from Booster Pack (Hard to pull it from Pack)
2nd Phase (2005/12/01-2006/08/01) : Top Mileage Card is Ring of Destruction (50 Mileage Points)

This is The Most Expensive Mileage Card in YU-GI-OH Online (50 Mileage Points in the past = 500 MP now) Now It’s discontinued and never release again (You can’t get it with your TP also)

Ring of Destruction not Available in Tournament Point Selection Screen
Ring of Destruction is Banned Card, This is why you didn’t see it in Japanese Card Rate but It’s still Very Rare Card only way to get it is to Trade with old player.
3rd Phase (2006/08/01-2006/12/11) : Top Mileage Card is Exodia Necross (30 Mileage Points)

This is a Top Rare Cards in Japanese Card Rate because It’s Discontinued Card, Never release again and you can’t get it with your TP, only way to get it is to Trade with old player.
When YU-GI-OH Online upgrade to YU-GI-OH Online Duel Evolution, Cyber dragon is Currency for Trading.

A Lot of people collecting it for Trading Purpose but after The Shops available Cyber Dragon can easily get it from Theme Pack (Super Mechs) It’s lost a value, Now Doomcaliber Knight (MP 100) is our Currency
