YU-GI-OH Online 2008 Overview
This Year Many things was added into YU-GI-OH Online The Best thing would be Paypal Duelpass that konami sell it directly on the main site even it’s for US and JP Resident only but It’s affect Duelpass Price around the world. Now You can get it cheaper than before because there are a lot of US Player selling duelpass code from Main Site on Ebay or other site.
A Release of Paypal Duelpass also get rid of the Discontinued Duelpass Problem because All Duelpass are now available with Paypal Payment (Except for USB Duelpass).
Note : Don’t believe what konami told you on the main site Duelpass code can be use on another account but it seem like they set a limit of duelpass codes you can get Maybe they don’t want someone to run a business from The Main Site.
This year we also got 2 New Event Evolution Match and Ultimate Match Event, Both of Them are Match Duel System.
Evolution Match become a Main Event in YU-GI-Oh Online while Ultimate Match is Special Event.
Both Event release a New Cards but Ultimate Match also release an old YOC (YU-GI-Oh Online Championship) Cards
I’m still not sure How Frequency The Ultimate Match is? Maybe we will got it Every season. The Next One will start next year, We known it from V-Jump 2/2009.
And Like Every Year We have An Anniversary Trial 50 running to release Old Gunslinger/Duelist Trial cards.
Even It’s a Million User ID Creation celebration, Konami always hold it every year.
Note : Top Prize card from Anniversary Trial 50 aren’t available for selection after the end of each season (TP Selecion Screen).
YU-GI-OH Online Booster Pack are up to Booster Pack 48 (Light of Destruction)
But We are still after a lot of promo cards from In Real Life. You can check which cards are release now from YGOOCGDB.
4 Duelpass release in this year (Dinosaur’s Roar – Absolute of Darkness [Phase 11-14]) = 1 New Duelpass every 3 month.
Note : Duelpass are base on Real Life Structure Deck, Absolute Darkness = Structure Deck 12 (Curse of Darkness), It’s mean we have a structure deck up to Structure Deck 12 From OCG.
A Lot of NPC and Avatar Parts was added and konami introduce a “Title System” in this year.
14 New Cards release in The Shop include missing cards from The Old Booster Packs, You can see it from YGOOCGDB.
That’s it for this year, I hope to see a lot of new things from next year,
This is a thing I want to see in 2009.
1. Make Paypal Payment Available to the world, This may not good for seller but it’s good for Player.
2. Make a Little Icon to save duellog from YOC Preliminary Round also a basic search for a player would be nice (It’s hard to find your friend or someone on YOC Tree Map).
3. Release New Packs Frequency than before (in 2008 Konami release a new pack almost 1 Pack per Season = 3 Booster Packs Per Year).
4. Release More Cards in the shop (Why 1 year we got only 14 shop cards?).
5. More Advance Deck Construction Screen, (Why can’t I search by same type of cards like Special Summon cards, etc…, It would be better if we have some category for deck recipe and a date it created, I also need more size for Deck Name and would like to use a Space Between Deck Name)
6. Fix Duel Log Collection Comments. It’s not working when you close it and open it again a comments you put always disappear.
7. Increase Server Performance (Why it’s lag with less than 1024 People in the same lobby on YOC?).
8. I would like to see More NPC, YO2 missing a lot of Character NPC.
9. I would like to see a New Map (A lot of Map From Original Series/GX Series or 5d’s Map into it).
As ForThe Next Year (2009) : New Duelpass Duelpass Dragon’s Dominion will release on 2009/1/17.
2nd Ultimate Match will start on 2009/1/19 (Next Season).
Note : This Season (Winter 2008) will end on 2009/1/16, Ultimate Match start on the next season.
Some of Unrelease NPC/Duel Disk will release on the next year.
Lately You may not see me active on this site for awhile because I try to learn a lot of new thing and I’m busy with a new site. I will let you know when it finish and I will go on vacation for 5 days, Happy New Year Everyone.
