YO3 Beta Test Experience
Base on my experience after I played it, Let’s begin after you log in you will go to location selection you will see 8 different place but right now only 3 are available left side place is the shop the far right is avatar selection. The other one is Kaiba Corporation [You can enter after you save your Deck]
There are no seperate lobby for each county in this game
Now Let’s change Avatar go to the far right place [My hide out], You can customize a lot of thing also you can select your Title here the new thing are Motion, Speech and Duel Message but only Speech are available to customize.
3 new cloth was added The default one is slum cloth [The First One]
Now Let’s go to Deck Construction Screen click on edit deck on the main menu (If you can’t find it see the first picture)
It look good but the icon to filter cards don’t display any message to let me know what is it? you can double click on the cards picture to automatically add them into your deck without drag and drop, If you want to save you deck select the second icon on the left side of the screen don’t select third icon it will empty your deck.
After You save your deck or already have a deck recipe you can enter Kaiba Corporation now.
Kaiba Corporation now are the place that have NPC [CPU Character] available for duel, You can’t walk around here.
Right now only 3 duelist from each YU-GI-OH Series are available for duel
YU-GI-OH : Atem, Kaiba, Jounouchi
YU-GI-OH GX : Judai, Manjoume, Asuka
YU-GI-OH 5D’s : Yusei, Jack, Aki
click on the star to start duel the, Now Let’s see Duel Field
Duel Option now remove from the field and it seem like there is a bug why I can’t see my avatar? After I duel for a few time I notice that it slower than YO2 when I take a screen capture for awhile I lose because of my time run out [You have 10 minutes for each duel that you duel NPC]. There are no 3D monster coming from the card only card effect like Duel Evolution.
There is an animation effect when fusion but It doesn’t have an animation effect when Synchro Monster.
Keyboard are useless in this game you can’t use it (In Duelevolution I always press ESC to change Phase and cancel display text a lot).
Music is great they still use an old music from previous game and add the news one.
Let’s see Create Duel Menu click on Duel Disk Icon on the screen
As you can see there are no Tag Duel in this Menu but there is a new thing, Now You can Create Duel and Limit Level of your opponent and you can Limit Opponent to Friends, Team and Language.
Let’s move to The Shop
There is New Feature Trade Card but it’s not available yet, You can only exchange your BP (Boosterpass Point) to buy a pack there, Only 1 new Pack Duelist Genesis and you can seperate booster pack by Release Date, Collection Rate and Order of Popular [There isn't this feature on Duel Evolution].
There are no Avatar Item on the shop maybe Avatar Item can only given by dueling NPC or join Yugioh Online Championship.
One very bad thing I saw is an icon, All of Icon in this game they don’t display a description of it, You need to guess or try to know it and You can’t watch duellog now.
We still don’t have a place to run around or explore but this is just a beta test we can still expect good thing coming in the future and I’m sure they will add more thing during beta test.

I also played it and i have to say that is very poor at this moment… A lot of errors (even for a beta)
pd: Be very careful when you go to the Shop because you can change your DP on Packs (1 pack = 15DP)…
A few glitches I’ve noticed include;
The Player’s 10 minute timer counts down after the opponent’s standby phase and the CPU’s timer stops, as if it were the Player’s turn.
E-Hero Bubbleman’s draw effect does not activate even when fulfilling it’s requirements.
Entering the Edit deck screen sometimes causes the game to glitch and close.
Not sure if this is a glitch: No cards are given for winning duels.
Activating Giant Trunade tends to cause an error which rewards the CPU with a victory.
Lost without losing any Life Points OR without time running out. (It was CPU Yusei’s turn)
Duel begins, yet doesn’t start. Opponent Yusei is locked in Thinking for 30 seconds before the initial cards are drawn.
Crystal Beast monsters do not show in the magic/trap zone when destroyed by battle. They’re still considered as in the zone, but they do not show on the field.
It’s not just yusei, joey beat me somehow twice, the second time I noticed his losing text instead of his winning text lol.
Small note chaps, the beta is going down for maintenance in 30 minutes, it’s only mentioned ingame under the alert tab. I only noticed it by chance. Looks like the first update will be here shortly.

im so close beating but time runs out.
from what i seen. the country icons are showing japn. and in english, timers are really wrong edit deck is messed up, most that is because of the conflict in folders i was beating every npc and the timers got me everytime, even lost duels with out playing one card, needs a lot of work done on it stil think it needed an extra 6 months before release , havent had time to check effects
A few more glitches I found
Lifepoints became 0 after a single 2500 attack, yet I did not lose the duel at that point. After my next turn, the game error’d and closed.
CPU opponent became frozen in “Now Thinking” mode after Marauding Captain was summoned without using it’s effect to summon a monster.Afterwards, time for a move ran out and the game did not end, instead the new 30 minute timer continued to count down until the game ended.
Just opened the game and it’s frezeed !
Its beta only…Anyway i dont think its going to be good…Will miss old avatars.
umm is it just me or aint this game supposed to have full 3D avatars and stuff

this game will be even better than ygo2 after the beta, becuase we will be able to roam about in areas as 3d ppl!
It never stated we would be able to roam about in 3D, just that it will have 3D avatars, that could mean just just like the 3D bits in 5Ds Duel Accelerator on the DS and Tag Force on the PSP. looking at the beta and menu system it does not look like there will be roaming areas at all. but there is a duel riding area button, I’d guess we might be able to make and duel on duel runners eventually.
there’s a riding duel button? wouldn’t be turbo duel in the USA? then again this seems to be not much different from the Asia client

I’m running XP Professional 32bit. Yes but where is the top of the window where it says ‘YuGiOh! ONLINE 3 beta ver 0.6? I can’t see the cursor when it crashes because I run it at full screen and when I change it ,the game restarts and is full screen again. Also you can’t do it rapidly cause another windows with the error opens. You mean we have to do that for ever to build our deck? Why don’t they repair this?
Yeah that’s what I mean :(. I don’t know why they aren’t repair this… U can only play it in full screen??? If so this is weird…

just look at all those rooms. they arent just for dueling the npcs. theres the kaiba corp room for that.
so theres no doubt theyre roaming areas. konami isnt dumb enough to remove an essential part of the game.
Those rooms may be for Evo, DT, GS, YOC and other…

Edit: the 5d’s chars have lines but it freezes when I try Yusei, hope they fix that in the maintenance.
Oh if you get a black screen after the update when your trying to duel search google for ygo isgreat and choose first link for the fix.
didn’t give me a proper fix, my avatar reverts back to default all the time. I even reinstalled…
how can i load a deck??everytime i go to deck edit it says program error :( plzzzz someone help!!
I get that problem, you need to remove YO2. Afterward,go to Program Files>Konami and delete everything from YO2. Then uninstall and reinstall YO3. It should work.
To load your deck correctly, you must check your deck if you have “valid” cards. What are “valid” cards? They are, for example, let’s say you have 2 GB laquari and you put them in your deck, then you do another search to look for gladiator cards and you see with this new search you have 2 GB laquari and now you put 3 GB laquari in your deck. The system only recognize you have 2 and it crashes every time you try to load it for duel. So now, go back to your deck and make sure you have enough copies, if you do, your computer should not crash.
so wait…if I search for more cards after adding cards, the new cards after searching become invalid? How does that make sense?

Figured out the problem…45 card deck, which is supposed to be completely legal. >.<
*doesnt removing YGO2 delete your user data?
I’d advise against tht. Just instal using an admin account.

Guys if your suffering from the deck editing issue heres my suggestion:
Got to YGO2 online
Edit your deck there
and then switch back to YGO3 online
It works for me and you dont have to suffer through hours of crashing. I’ve also found that AFTER you’ve dueled someone the deck edit works fine.
Now my issue is with the servers.
If you cant connect then the issues on the other end aka Konamis fault so you wont be able to fix it until they fix the problem or when they switch the servers over completely.
Uninstalling YO2 just removes your old decks…
If your still getting squares instead of text where players names, number of cards, atk and def numbers all should be, then you can download a fix from the elite gamers online site – {search google for ygo isgreat)
That is if you dont have the windows CD to fix it.
how do you add the ygo2 decks to the ygo3? do you have to remake them ?
I won an npc although it didn’t give me anything. o-o
does your ygo2 decks auto go into ygo3 or do they have to be re added if so how ?
YO2 decks will be imported stop asking! Just know that if your decks have 41+ cards you can’t duel due to a (nasty) bug. you need /exactly/ 40 cards.
Edit: YO3 NPCs don’t give anything as of yet. And you don’t win card packs at all (yet).

Every time i go to Deck Edit, it gets me the ”Send error report” or ”Dont send”
I hate the losers that disconnect from the game when they would lose. MF wont lose. Stupid gays. Couldnt someone do something about it. Like if you disconnect, you automatically lose something. Points, level etc. Just… something!
Not anyone disconects on purpose. I had a problem with my ADSL and every 10 min I was loosing connection to the server. Sould I be punished, like as it was my fault???
