Trade is the important part of this game, It’s very hard to get cards you want without trading not only Duel Pass is expensive but some cards you can get it only by Trading,
Here are an Example of cards you may get it only by trading
Ring of Destruction (50 Mileage Point Discontinued Card), Exodia Necross (30 Mileage Point Discontinued Card), Red Eyes Black Dragon Alt Art (USA Promo you may get it if you buy YU-GI-OH Duel Monster Beginners Pack 2005), Red Eyes Black Metal Dragon Alt Art (V-Jump Promo)
4 Cards above you may get it If you are old player but If you are new to this game or start playing since it upgrade to YU-GI-Oh Online Duel Evolution only way to get it is to Trade. Not only 4 cards above TOP 4 Yoc Cards (Except Skull Dice) released only for YOC Qualifiers and never release again.
In The Past you can trade only 4 cards (Per Trade) but a few month later Konami fixed it, Now you can Trade up to 10 Cards per round. You can trade cards by select person you want to trade then select Send Trade Request If your partner agree to trade you will go to Trade Screen You can see this step at Manual Page from YU-GI-OH Online Official Site.
People use to trade in Main Lobby, Using All Chat Tab to asking for cards they want. There is Trade Tab available but not many people using it, You can read Different Between YU-GI-OH Online 1 & YU-GI-OH Online 2 for more information (I already explained All Tab in this game there).
Before Trading you need to know some basic word people use to Trade, This is only for Trading at English Lobby.
Offer = Willing to Trade cards.
For/Want/need … = He/She looking for cards they told.
Example : I want Doomcaliber Knight and willing to Silent Magician LV8 for it so I type offer Silent Magician LV8 for Doomcaliber Knight.
This is Only Basic Trade at English Lobby There are some players offer cards but don’t tell what they want. They want you to PM Your offer to them If he/she satisfied they will agree to Trade.
PM = Personal Message use in Many Webboard but In This game It’s mean Private Chat (Personal Message you sent to Player by clicking Player and Select Chat).
If you are new to this game You may confuse not only Basic Trade but there are Trade DP, Trade MP, Trade Win etc.., Here Description about it.
Trade Common/Common Trading = a purpose of this trade is to Complete Collection, Trade cards they don’t want/useless cards/Non Rare Cards to get new cards for complete a Collection. You may asking me why?
A lot of people in this game having a Collector Mind, They want to have all cards complete or as much as possible Some want to have at least 1 of every cards or 3 of each cards. This is Why Thunder Kinds/Haniwa/White Dolphin is Very Rare.
Personally I really love this kind of Trade, It can get rid of my Duplicate Cards and make me get a new one.
Trade MP = MP can’t be trade or transfer to other but when people use it in Chat They mean They willing to get MP Cards from the shop and willing to trade it for cards they want.
Example : I am going to Trade 100 MP for Gandra so I type “offer 100 MP for Gandra” when someone accept my offer I will sent PM to him asking for cards they want from the shop, After he told me I go to the shop buy it and Trade it with him, This is What Trade MP mean It’s just exchange MP Cards to cards.
Trade Win/Alternate Win/Exchange Win = It’s switch turn winning with your partner (Switch turn Surrender) A lot of people do it when new pack release to get cards they want as fast as possible, You can call it “Pack Mining”. Trade Win aren’t allow in Events you may got your account ban by doing this but it’s still fine to do it outside event.
Trade DP = Trade Duel Pass to Cards/MP Cards/Account/Money. This Kind of Trade is Prohibited by Konami You may got your Account Ban by doing this but a lot of people still doing it. I just want to warn you Konami can check Chat Message If you want to do it do it outside the game.
Note : You can Trade Banned Cards or any cards you want but there are some cards you can’t trade it, You can’t trade cards you received from Structure Deck, Starter Cards, Cards you received for having 100 TP, Cards you get from The Basic Set and Expansion Pack (In Card Shop), For NDS Qualifierd You can’t trade All Cards you get with Special Duel Pass.
