   YU-GI-OH Online is an Online PC Game release on 2004, released in December 2004 by Konami,based on the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. It was first distributed with the February 2005 issue of the U.S. Shonen Jump. In the game, players can chat, duel, and trade cards with each other.

   What do you need before playing this game?

   First Download this game and install it make sure your PC can play it by looking at System Requirement, after that register your YU-GI-Oh Online ID Here.

   When you register a New User ID make sure to keep it safe not only your user id and password you need to remember your Inquiry ID too. After finish register YU-GI-OH Online ID Open YU-GI-OH Online it will prompt you to download Patch download it when it finish login to the game you can play this game now. You will get 10 Free Duel Point at the start if you want to play more you need to Pay to play.

   What is an Inquiry ID and what it's for?

   Inquiry ID is unique key per User ID Account. You need it when you will contact Konami Support, For Example when you forgotten your password or someone hacking your account you need sent an E-Mail to Konami Support. They will ask your Inquiry ID and other information about your user ID in order to do something you request.

   This game support many Languages you can see which language it support at YU-GI-OH Online Main Site, There are a lot of YU-GI-Oh Online Main Site divide by country But For In Game Language 7 Languages are support. They are Japanese, English, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Korean, You can change Language in game at Options Menu when you start this game but For Cards Image This game using cards Image from YU-GI-OH TCG not OCG even you change your language to Japanese or other country Cards Image in game still using TCG Art only menu and description that got change by language you chose.

   It's pay per duel no monthly payment for this game. This game using Duel Point System, 1 Duel costs 1 DUELPASS Point. You can credit DUELPASS Points to your Account either by entering the DUELPASS code printed on a DUELPASS, or by buying them with your credit card or 16 Digit Duel Pass Code from SMS Duel Pass. You need to buy Duel Pass and enter Duel Pass Code in the game in order to play it, When your Duel Point are run out you can't duel but you can still Chat, Trade, Looking at Duel Log, Walking Around.

   Duel Pass is what you need in order to play this game, You need to purchase it. There are many Type of Duel Passes but There are 2 Mainly Duel pass Type that most use in the game, First is A Duel Pass Card, which a DUEL PASS Code is printed on it when you enter code in the game you will got Duel Pass Point (Normally 30 Duel Pass Point for 1 Duel Pass Code you enter) You can also buy DUELPASSes by credit card through YU-GI-Oh Online Main Site, It's call Duel Pass 150 You got 150 Duel Pass Point+50 MP there, You can purchase Duel Pass 150 by clicking on DuelPass/Buy menu on YU-GI-OH Online Mainsite then click on Buy a Duel Pass 150 enter your User ID and credit card information when it finish login to the game you will got 5 Random Cards From Discontinued Pack+150 Duel Pass Point+50 MP there.

   I can't Find Duel Pass in my country How can I buy it?

   I'm same like you I live in Thailand and No One Import Duel Pass to my country also YU-GI-OH Online Mainsite don't accept Thailand address I can't buy it through Main Site but I can still buy it from E-bay and other Online Duel Pass Store using Debit or Credit Card and connected it with Paypal Account.

    How Can I enter Duel Pass Code?

    Login to the game looking at the icon on the left side of taskbar (Taskbar in game) It's a Main Menu click on it then click DuelPass you can enter Duel Pass Code there, I think picture may explain the best here Picture 1 Picture 2

    Why I can't go to Domino City Server (Blue Door)?

    It's because you are still at Beginner Lobby, There's only 1 Beginner Lobby on Duel Academy Server (Red Door) If you need to go to Domino City Server (Blue Door) you need to duel until your Total Duel reach 32-35 (I can't remember exactly). then logout and login again you can go to Normal lobby (You can't go back to Beginner Lobby again)

    What is YU-GI-OH Online 1 and YU-GI-OH Online 2 you mention, Is it a same game?

    Yes It's same game but available in a different period. YU-GI-Oh Online 1 available on December 2004-11 December 2006. From 11 December 2007 onward It's YU-GI-Oh Online 2 period. Konami upgrade this game from YU-GI-OH Online 1 to YU-GI-OH Online 2 (It's Call YU-GI-Oh Online Duel Evolution) There are a lot of many upgrade from the old game.     How can I Trade Cards in game & Is it free to Trade?

    You can Trade cards with other by clicking on his/her name or avatar, Click Send Trade Request If your partner agree you will go to Trade Screen select which cards you want to trade You can see How It's work here and Yes It's free to Trade This game will cost you only on duel (You will lose your Duel Point) Trade, Chat, Walking Around, Looking at Duel Logs/Someone Duel are free of charge.

    Is there any basic guide, Strategy Guide or Guidebook about this game?

    There are no Strategy Guide or Guidebook about this game (Konami never publish it) but there is a basic guide from konami here It's Manual guide about control and other basic game system

    Can I register more than 1 User ID?

    Yes you can a lot of people in this game using more than 1 user ID but be sure to use all of it because Konami will delete your User ID If you are not logon for 6 month.

    How can I Open 2 Account (User ID) at the same time?

    You can do it by double click on YU-GI-Oh Online Icon after 1st windows is open double click it again 2nd YU-GI-Oh Online window will open then you can login 2 account at the same time to duel, trade cards etc...

    How Can I change Avatar?

    You can do it by clicking on Duel Disk in your room, There are 2 Duel Disk 1st disk is Domino City Duel Disk click on it to change your avatar when you are at Domino City Server, 2nd one is Duel Academy Duel Disk for Avatar on Duel Academy.

    I click ok after select My Avatar but why it's not appear like what I chose?

    When you change your avatar make sure you change avatar on both side (Domino and Duel Academy Avatar). For Example I change avatar on Domino City after changing it I click ok I also need to change avatar on Duel Academy to make this game apply for a change.

    Can I login to the game using different computer & How can I export my User ID Data to different computer?

    Yes you can. For Export your User ID information (Include Deck Recipe, Duel Log, Friend List/Ignore List) you can do it by backup your profiles folder normally locate at C:\Program Files\KONAMI\Yu-Gi-Oh! ONLINE 2\profiles When you install this game on different machine copy and paste it on profiles folder at Yu-Gi-Oh! ONLINE 2 Directory You will get all information about your User ID.

    I forgotten my account information (User ID, Password) How can I recover it?

    You can contact konami support and told them what you need to know.
    1. For Forgotten Password You need to told them Your "User ID" and "Inquiry ID".
    2. For Forgotten User ID You need to told them Your "Player name" and "Inquiry ID".
    3. Account Details You need to told them Your "User ID", "Inquiry ID" and details on what you would like to know about your account.

    This is why Inquiry Id is important because you need it in this time.

    Konami Support is E-mail Support on this game you need to sent E-mail to them you can contact them by going to Support Page at YU-GI-Oh Online Main Site click on compose mail (Different Country Different E-mail Support).

    Not Only When you have a problem you can sent them feedback, Your Idea, Your thought about this game you can reporting bugs also to make this game better even they are reply like a bot or never change anything but I still believe if a lot of people requesting something from them they will slowly develop it.

    What If I forgotten My Inquiry ID and Forgotten My Password What can I do?

    You need to contacting them with your available information They will asking you a Recent Purchase Duel Pass Code or You Credit Card Statement (If you buying DP 150) Told them all try contacting them they may reply your late but wait for it, I hope it's still fine.

    Note: If you forgotten User ID and Password make sure you kept your previous Duel Pass code you enter you need it to claim that you are an owner of your User ID

    Is there any NPC if it is what they are doing in this game?

    Yes YU-GI-Oh Online also have NPC like other Online Game but the different is NPC in this game aren't doing anything They can only Duel if you request.     What a different between Single Duel and Match Duel?

    Single Duel is 1 game you lose 1 duel point to play it no matter you win or lose you can opening pack, You got 1 Card from booster pack you can't use side deck here.

    Match Duel is 2-3 game You or your opponent need to win at least 2 duel to win a match. You can use Side Deck here. You will lose Duel Point depend on number of game you play (For Example If you win or lose twice you lose 2 Duel Point if you win some and lose some your third game will determine a winner You lose 3 DP). no matter you win or lose you can opening pack for Match Duel you can get 3 cards from booster pack.

    What is RMT?

    In Yu-Gi-Oh! ONLINE, RMT is defined as trading data related to the game, including cards and accounts for anything of real monetary value in real life including Cash and DUELPASSES. DUELPASSES are considered to be real world currency as it is a part of the charge system used in the game. Konami don't allow this kind of Trade but a lot of people still doing it as you see YU-GI-OH Online cards are available for Auction at E-bay, Yahoo. You may got your account ban for doing it.

    Why can't I chained more than 3 Chain Links in this game?

    It's because your Duel Option is set to Semi Auto Cancel to be able to chain in this mode you need to hold left mouse everytime You wanna chain If you don't sometime You will not see a prompt message asking you to do it.

    You can change your Duel Option at Duel Option Menu and in Duel Screen at tool icon (left side of in game taskbar), For More Information about Duel Option can read it here

    Why my Chat message appear as * when I type in the chat?

    Because It's Inappropriate words used in conversation are replaced by "*" symbols. but sometime word or phase you type isn't a rude word they still censored it For Example (dragon They censored it to ****on) to Prevent it you can use a Space between Letter or use Capital Letter in front of your word such as D R A G O N or Dragon.

    I saw a pink chat message What is it and How can I type like that?

    It's Private Chat Message only you or person you choose can see this message to do it click on person you want to sent your private chat select Chat Message and type your message or typing /player name and Type your message only the one you select can see your message.     Which Ban/Restrict List this game using?

    YU-GI-OH Online Ban/Restricted List are defined independently for Yu-Gi-Oh! ONLINE but a lot of time it follow OCG Ban/Restrict List 90% or more. I can say Real Life Ban/Restricted List has an affect to YU-GI-OH Online Ban/Restricted List.

   TP stand for Tournament Point Ranking It's a virtual point player receive everytime when they compete in YU-GI-Oh Online Main Event (DT,GS Evo,YOC), You can claim your prize cards at the end of each season depening on How much TP you collect.

   If you have 500 TP or more You will get Black Duel Disk (Male and Female)

   If you are Top 1000 Duelist
   Number 1 Duelist of the season (Who have most TP) will get 1 Special Exclusive card+ 4 Card of your choice (3 cards from Top 10 Duelist+1 from having 100 TP)
   Top 10 Duelist of the season got 4 Card of your choice (3 cards from Top 10 Duelist+1 from having 100 TP)
   11st-50 Ranked Duelist you wil get 3 card of your choice (2 cards from Top Rank 11st-50 the last one from having 100 TP) Duelist, 2nd card from having 100 TP)
   51st-1000 Ranked Duelist you wil get 2 card of your choice (1st card from Top 1000 Duelist, 2nd card from having 100 TP)

   All GS/DT/Evo/Booster Packs cards+some YOC (Mostly Top8-Top16 cards) you can select and get it.

   Some of These cards you can't select it to be your own (It's not available for selection).
   1.Duel Pass Cards (DP, USB Duel Pass,V-Jump Promo Red Eyes Black Metal Dragon Alternate Art, Special Duel Pass Promo Red Eyes Black Dragon Green Background (Alternate Art), )
   2.Old Discontinued Mileage Cards (Ring of Destruction and Exodia Necross)
   3.Some YOC (Normally Top4-Winner Card)
   4.Exclusive Prize Cards for Number 1 Duelist of the season
   5.Secret Normal Loser Cards such as Thunder Kids, Haniwa, White Dolphin
   6.MP Cards aren't available for selection.

    Is There any condition to compete in YU-GI-OH Online Event?

    Yes for DT, GS, Evo Match you must be LV2 Player with 35 duel or more, For YOC you must have 250 Total Duel or more.

    How can I know date and time of the events and prize cards and Where it start?

    You can see it on YU-GI-OH Online Main Event Site You can use Time Zone Converter to see when is it in your country or you can change date and time on windows taskbar too see when it is.

    Gunslinger and YOC will start at Domino City World Server, Duelist Trial and Evolution Match will start at Duel Academy World Server.

    What is YOC and How can I compete in it?

    YOC is YU-GI-OH Online Championship Event, It's biggest YU-GI-OH Online Event You may call it YU-GI-OH Online World Championship Event.

    Konami holding this event every season, This Event split into 2 Phase 1st Phase is Preliminary Phase using Single Duel Format Date and Time available at Main Site (They may announce it on V-Jump before) You can make a reservation at Main Site also.

    Preliminary Phase have 16 Round each round consist 512 Player winner from each round will have a ticket to play on 2nd Phase Final Tournament.

    Final Tournament are Match Duel, It always at Sunday (Next Day after Last Preliminary Round finish).

    To compete in it you must have 250 Duel or more then look at date and time when it's start go to there. YOC will start at Domino City World Server.

    Do I need to make a reservation before?

    You don't need to do it, YOC Lobby will select 512 people who go there in the first place who come late don't have a chance to duel in preliminary round even you've made a reservation doesn't mean you can play. This is a reason you saw a lot of people can play 2 or more Preliminary Round even reservation is Full?

    Why so much lag during YOC? (It's very slow and sometime I got disconnected)

    It's because a Chat a lot of people chat at the same time and server can't handle it all, It's also Konami fault This problem happen everytime YOC Start and konami never fix it, They need to upgrade or improve their server performance to fix this problem.

    Is there a Time Limit during Preliminary Round?

    Yes each player have 10 Minute Time Limit, Who make it run out will lose a duel regardless ramain Life Point.

    How can I know which cards are YOC Cards?

    You will never know it before it finish, except for Top YOC Card (V-Jump always told what card it is),For a Previous YOC Cards you can look at YOC Prize Page.

    I'm already enter YOC Preliminary Round but How can I know who is my opponent (Where am I)?

    Look at the right side of your screen you will see a shining spot on Tournament Graph, a shining spot is where you are.

    Can I still play next preliminary if I lose before?

    Yes you can even you've lose before you can still play next preliminary round.

    Is there any way to get YOC cards without winning in the event?

    You can get some YOC cards at Tournament Point Prize cards selection but not all YOC are available mostly Top 8 -Top 16 yoc cards you can get it, Another way to get it is to trade.

    If I result is draw during preliminary round what will happen?

    If you draw you and your opponent will force to choose rock/paper/scissor/ to decide who is the winner.

    Can I save Duel Log from YOC?

    You can't save duel log from YOC Preliminary Round but you can with YOC Final Tournament.

Card Shops & Trade

   Where is the shop?

   In this game we have 2 card shop 1st store locate at "Game Shop Kame" (Domino City Server) the other one locate at Duel Academy (Duel Academy Server). For More Information you can read at Card Shop Opening Now

   They sell a same stuff and have a same available pack except for Avatar Parts.

   No, right now there are no event in the shop.

   What is MP and How can I get it?

   MP is Mileage Point It's the old system that got upgrade by konami You can read about it at YU-GI-OH Online System and Event In The Past, Card Shop Opening Now and The Shops Page from konami

   MP will increase everytime you put duel pass code in the game or everytime you you buy duel pass from YU-GI-Oh Online Main Site (Duel Pass 150) or you use Webmoney.

   In The Past you get 1 MP for 1 duel pass code, 3 MP from USB Duel Pass. 5 MP from Duel Pass 150. (You don't get MP from V-Jump Promo Red Eyes Black Metal Dragon Duel Pass) but for now each duel pass code you enter you got 10 MP, 30 MP from USB Duel Pass, 50 MP from Duel Pass 150/ Webmoney Duel Pass, 5 MP from SMS Duel Pass.

   What can I get from The Shops?

   You can get Single Card (MP Card), Opening Booster Packs (Include Discontinued Pack), buy Avatar Item (Duel Disk, Cloth/Suit/Uniform) there.

   Note : When you open booster packs in the shop each time you got 5 cards.

   How can I know How many MP I have?

   You can see it at your profile menu.

   Will MP Cards (Single Cards in the shop) remove or change everytime when the new one coming?

   No, right now every MP cards are available all the time.

   Which cards can I trade? which cards can't trade?

   You can trade any cards you want (You can trade up to 10 cards per round) but there are some cards you can't trade it.

   You can't trade cards you received from Structure Deck, Starter Cards, Cards you received for having 100 TP, Cards you get from The Basic Set and Expansion Pack (In Card Shop), For NDS Qualifierd You can't trade All Cards you get with Special Duel Pass.

   I received message "Trade Failed" What does it mean?

   It's mean your trade are cancel you and your partner don't get any cards, This message is a bug sometimes it's happen when you have a problem with your connection (Slow/Not Respond to server), You need to trade it again with your partner.

    Can I trade Banned Cards?

    Yes you can.

    What does it mean "Trade MP" I see a lot of people said it, Is it possible to Trade MP?

    You can't exchange or Transfer your MP to other but when someone said "Trade MP" They mean they wiling to buy MP Cards from The Shops and will trade MP Cards with you

    For Example : I will trade 90 MP for Gandra I said I offer 90 MP for Gandra When someone accept my offer I will sent PM (Personal Message or Private Chat in game) asking about MP Cards he want so I will go and get it for him, This is What "Trade MP" mean. It's just exchange MP Cards to Cards.

    I got rip off (he pulling cards back while I request a Trade), What can I do?

    Sorry to say You can't do anything. You need to becareful when you will trade with someone don't rush in trade make sure your partner will not pulling cards back but If you got rip off you can remember his/her User ID and told people to beware him or you can report this person to Konami (I believe they don't do anything) or webboard.

    What does it mean "Trade Win" (Alternate Win)?

    It's switch turn winning with your partner. A lot of people do it when new pack release because they want to get cards they want as fast as possible You can call it "Pack Mining". "Trade Win" (Alternate winning) aren't allow in Events If you do it you may got PM from GM (Game Master) or they may ban your Account.

    Why some useless cards are very rare?

    Because some cards are discontinued cards and Konami don't have a plan to release it again or in a near future.

    For Example : Cards from USB Duel Pass are availble only at USA this is why Dark Paladin is very rare, Red Eyes Black Dragon Green Background only release with Shonen Jump May Edition (during 2005/4/28) and YU-GI-OH Duel Monster Beginners Pack 2005. Some cards is very hard to get such as Thunder Kids, Haniwa, White Dolphin It's random Rare Loser Cards (Cards you will get when you lose in Events) but very hard to get it.

    Is there any Cards Rate or Rate Chart to see which card is Rarer, How Rare it is?

    There are no official rate from konami only YU-GI-OH Online Player Rate it Such as Japanese Card Rate from JPN game3channel They rate it by How hard it can get not by how useful it is. A Lot of People use it as a guideline when they willing to trade cards (Please Note : They don't rate ban cards).

   What is Friendship LV?

   Friendship Level is shown by the star above NPC Avatar, Your Friendship LV will increase everytime you dueling them, Character NPC will using a different deck recipe when your friendship LV increase too.

   Yes You can opening pack (Only Available Pack) nomatter you win or lost against them.

   Yes you can, not only by winning against them you can still got it even you lose, It's seem like you will get it by number of dueling but winning them you will get it faster than losing.

   Why I can't duel some NPC?

   Some NPC (Yami Marik, Seto Kaiba, Alesix Rhodes) You can't duel with them unless you beat NPC that will give you a chance to duel them for more information you can read at NPC page.

   Some NPC using unrelease cards you can't get it by dueling them.

    I got Deck Recipe from them but why I can't load it to play, It's said some cards are missing at Deck Construction Screen?

    It's because you only got a list of cards they use you didn't got a cards to make it. When you got Deck Recipe from NPC you only got a list of cards no cards coming with it.

    No God Cards aren't release yet.

    A Lot of NPC using an Old Ban/Restricted Cards will they change his/her deck recipe when New Ban/Restrict come?

    NPC will never change his/her deck recipe following new ban/restrict list, They using Old Ban/Restricted cards forever.

    I've seen some player with Scapegoat Hair Style How can I get it?

    It's Afro Hair Style LV4, you can get it by dueling NPC dancer After receiving it wear it and after x10 you will receive Hairstyle Afro Lv2, After receiving Afro Lv2 Just wear it and after x20 and you will Hairstyle Afro Lv3 then wear it after 150 Duel you will get Hair Style Afro LV4 (Scapegoat Hair Style).

    For Now Only Hair Style Afro and Quiff can LV up by equip them and duel.

    Your win or lose against NPC doesn't affect your win or lose record in your profile.

    I've seen some player with Rare Hunter Suit/Uniform How can I get it?

    Those suite you can get it by duel Yami Marik after your friendship LV reach LV3 (27 win or 3 Big Star) you will get Male and Female Rare Hunter Suit at the same time.

    I've seen some player with Strang Suit/Uniform and It's not Rare Hunter Suit/Uniform What is it and How Can I get it?

    Non Character NPC will change his/her spot every week (After Friday Maintenence) Some NPC got remove from the game some NPC will return to the game as well.

    1.Your win or lose record in your profile remain the same, you can use NPC to try out your deck, your combo, Rule etc...
    2.You can get some cards/idea from NPC/NPC Deck Recipe and you can get New Avatar Part by dueling them.
