YU-GI-Oh Online Card Rarity
icon1 spiritofsword | icon2 System | icon4 07 9th, 2008| icon31 Comment »

Card Rarity is very important for Trading because some cards are Rare Cards and some cards are not, You may not get cards you want if you don’t know How Rare is it. How can you know which cards is Rare Cards and How Rare is it?

Japanese Card Rate is Your Answer, JPN Card Rate is a Rate Chart created by Japanese Player from game2channel BBS. It’s a Rate Chart to to see which card is rarer, How rare it is in YU-GI-Oh Online. They update it often and change a Rate when new cards come.

6 Things you need to know about Japanese Card Rate

1. Japanese Card Rate don’t Rate banned card and don’t rate All Cards in the game

2. It rate cards by how hard it can get not how useful it is but there are some exception such as some useful GS6 is rarer than GS7 win

3. It’s a rate chart creating for Trading in JPN Lobby not English Lobby but the rate still usable in other lobby because It’s rate card by how hard it can get

4. Value of cards change everytime, some cards may remove from the rate some may return

5. They update it Frequency but I’m not If you can read JPN You can read at game2channel BBS itself

6. Japanese Card Rate is The Most Popular Post in this site more than 20,000 Page View on it, a lot of people in this game using Japanese Card Rate to determine value of the cards

Other than JPN Card Rate There is Card Value from Vertecles using MP Value to determine Rarity (Card Value also base on Japanese Card Rate).

You should know that Rarity change everytime and everytime There is a Currency for it,

In The Past after a few month YU-GI-OH Online released while there are no Mileage Cards : Magician of Faith, Lord of Dragon and Harpie Lady Sisters are currency for Trading because It’s hard to get it from the pack.

a lot of people collecting it because it can trade to any cards they want but when Mileage System was Launched Slate Warrior become a Trade Currency because It’s 30 Mileage Points (You need to put Duel Pass Code 30 Times to get it) make it hard to get at that time (It’s also a powerful monster during those period).

Note : 1 Mileage Point in the past = 10 MP now, 30 Mileage Points = 300 MP in present

The only way to get GS Cards during that time is to trade Slate Warriors or other GS to get it but not all GS have a value Barrel Dragon is the example.

Barrel Dragon is GS7 win card but It’s not a Rare Card because It’s only one GS card that Re-release again in Booster Pack 14 It’s Rare for a while after Booster Pack 14 release It’s become common card No Rare and No Value.

Some Gunslinger Cards that Re-release again in other form will drop down in Value, This Type of Card is Vorse Raider, Sebek’s Blessing and Anniversary Trial 50 Cards.

Vorse Raider Alt Art and Sebek’s Blessing are both GS5 win cards but GS Vorse Raider re-release again by NPC (You can get it by winning Seto Kaiba 5 times), Sebek’s Blessing re-release again in Duel Pass Dinosaur’s Roar.

This case also apply to YOC : Skull Dice and Big Shield Gardna (Top 4&Top 16 YOC Cards From Summer Championship 2005) Re-release again in Booster Pack 21 and Beginner’s Pack3 make it drop down in value not only this 2 YOC, 30 Mileage Point Slate Warrior also in Booster Pack 21

Note : There are only 2 YOC Cards that Re-release again in Booster Pack It’s Skull Dice&Big Shield Gardna

When we talk about Card Rarity We also need to learn Mileage system from The Past because It will tell you Why some cards are Rare, Some aren’t.

Mileage System in The Past divide into 3 Phase each phase have 1 Top Mileage Card (Most Expensive Mileage Card), Those cards will not remove until new Phase come (Other Mileage Cards got remove when Konami add some cards into Mileage List)

1st Phase (2005/07/29-2005/12/01) : Top Mileage Card is Slate Warrior (30 Mileage Points)

After this card release in Booster Pack 21 It’s drop down in value but still rare because It’s hard to get it from Booster Pack (Hard to pull it from Pack)

2nd Phase (2005/12/01-2006/08/01) : Top Mileage Card is Ring of Destruction (50 Mileage Points)

This is The Most Expensive Mileage Card in YU-GI-OH Online (50 Mileage Points in the past = 500 MP now) Now It’s discontinued and never release again (You can’t get it with your TP also)

Ring of Destruction not Available in Tournament Point Selection Screen

Ring of Destruction is Banned Card, This is why you didn’t see it in Japanese Card Rate but It’s still Very Rare Card only way to get it is to Trade with old player.

3rd Phase (2006/08/01-2006/12/11) : Top Mileage Card is Exodia Necross (30 Mileage Points)

This is a Top Rare Cards in Japanese Card Rate because It’s Discontinued Card, Never release again and you can’t get it with your TP, only way to get it is to Trade with old player.

When YU-GI-OH Online upgrade to YU-GI-OH Online Duel Evolution, Cyber dragon is Currency for Trading.

A Lot of people collecting it for Trading Purpose but after The Shops available Cyber Dragon can easily get it from Theme Pack (Super Mechs) It’s lost a value, Now Doomcaliber Knight (MP 100) is our Currency

Card Rarity Factor
1. Cards Rarity will change when It Re-release again in other form (Barrel Dragon, Skull Dice, Big Shield Gardna, Slate Warrior, Anniversary Trial 50 Cards, Sebek’s Blessing, Vorse Raider Alt Art, Top 8- Top 16 YOC Qualifiers Cards, Structure Deck Duel Pass Cards, etc…) (Price Down)
2. Cards Rarity will change when It become Discontinued Card (Ring of Destruction, Exodia Necross, Old Phase Duel Pass Cards, USA Promo, V-Jump Promo, etc…) (Price-Up)
3. Depening on Metagame Some Cards that a lot of people use or a require card for some type of deck recipe can Price Up or Price Down
4. Some Cards is Rare because It’s hard to get it (Rare Loser’s Card [Thunder Kids/Haniwa/White Dolphin], USB Duel Pass Cards, YOC Qualifiers Cards, Some GS Cards that aren’t release in Anniversary Trial 50 Event such as Soul Taker, Legendary Fiend, Rigras Leever, etc…)
5. Cards Rarity may change when Time Passed (Anniversary Trial 50 Cards, Old Booster Pack Cards, etc…) (Price-Up)
6. Some Cards are Rare for a while (Cards from Latest Booster Pack, Latest Duel Pass Cards, etc…)

Duel Logs and How To Share It
icon1 spiritofsword | icon2 System | icon4 05 7th, 2008| icon3No Comments »

Duel Logs is a previous gameplay from player, This feature had improved a lot when compare it to duel log from YU-GI-OH Online 1.

You can see it by clicking on main menu select Duel Logs.

Duel Log Menu split into 4 Main Category.

Latest Duel Logs = Your Latest Duel Log. Duel Log is saved automatically on your computer after duel, it will save only 100 duel from the 101st onwards, the oldest duel log will be deleted to make space. You can choose your favourite Duel Log and save it to Duel Log Collection by Clicking on Add to Collection.

Server Duel Logs = Duel Logs from YU-GI-Oh Online Server include all Server and lobby by pressing it you can see Latest Duel Log from other player in each server, duel log from YU-GI-Oh Online Event [Duelist Trial, Gunslinger and Evolution Match, 2nd Anniversary Trial 50] are includes. Server Duel Logs record only duel that allowed to watch if you don’t want it to appear you can creat duel and select watch off.

*If you want to watch duel log in yugioh online event select World server, Duel Log from YU-GI-Oh Online Championship aren’t include in it.

Duel Log Collection = It’s a Duel Log you collect by clicking add to collection. There are no limit on how much it can stored on your PC [depending on your Hard Drive], You can add your own duellog or other player duellog into your own collection.

By Clicking on it you will see a list of duellog when you click on duellog you will see this screen

You can mange your own duellog collection by Play, Delete or Add Comment as for Add Comment it’s useless because when I put a comment in it when I log out and log in again my comment always Disappear.

YOC Final Tournament Duel Logs = same like a name It’s Duel Log from YU-GI-Oh Online Championship Final Tournament but not only YOC duellog from Jump Festa 2008 Final Round also include in it. You can watch and save it to your own collection.

Duel Log from YOC Spring 2007 and onward are available.

YU-GI-Oh Online 1 Duel Log didn’t have YOC Final Tournament Duel Log and they don’t split it into category so everything are messy and You don’t have your own duellog collection.

When they upgrade to YU-GI-Oh Online 2 Duel Log feature are very nice but there are 3 thing I want konami to improve, First is to let everyone can save duellog from YOC Preliminary Round because it’s not available and it will disappear in a short time when a new preminary round start. Second I want them to improve comment feature on Duel Log Collection [Comment always disappear], The Last is Card Search it need to upgrade because it’s not work correctly [When I searching by player name I saw on Duel Log Collection they don't show it all.

How To share Duel Logs

Normally you can add other player duellog on Server Duel Logs and YOC Final Tournament Duel Logs but server duellog will get rid of the old duellog so old duel log aren't available for adding to your own collection the only way to see it is to share your duellog between you and your friend. I will teach you how to do it

What do you need before doing it

First I need you to install Edit Plus program I already zip it in here a Download Link, (You don't need to download from all link just download from 1 link that work for you other link are a mirror).

http://rapidshare.com/files/113120096/Edit_Plus_3.rar.html

http://depositfiles.com/files/5189450

http://www.ziddu.com/download.php?uid=Y7KbnJ2uZaqinZqtr6yZlJyiYa%2BWlJup1

This Program will make it easier to paste a duellog code and it's very good program better than notepad, Sometime when you open readme/script/etc... you may find that the text are hard to read [It's messy] but when you open it with this program it will look clean easy to edit/copy and paste.

Open With Notepad

Open With Edit Plus

You may use other program you prefer but I recommend this program.

2.You need .log file from person you want to watch his/her Duel Log, It’s Duel Log file from Duel Log folder [usually located at C:\Program Files\KONAMI\Yu-Gi-Oh! ONLINE 2\profiles\[Your Player Name]\duellogs]

3.mylist.txt (From favourites folder normally locate at C:\Program Files\KONAMI\Yu-Gi-Oh! ONLINE 2\profiles\[Your Player Name]\duellogs\favourites)

When you are ready go to where you install the game (Normally it will install in C:\Program Files\KONAMI\Yu-Gi-Oh! ONLINE 2) access you profiles folder you will see your player name double click on it and then go to duellogs folder (C:\Program Files\KONAMI\Yu-Gi-Oh! ONLINE 2\profiles\[Your Player Name]\duellogs) You will see a lot of .log files along with list.txt and favourite folder

.log file is your duellog file

list.txt is a list of duellog that will appear on Latest Duel Log

favourites folder is your Duel Log Collection inside that folder include duellog file (.log file) and mylist.txt, mylist.txt is a list of duellogs that will appear on Duel Log Collection Screen.

For Adding someone else’s Duel Logs I recommend to do it on favourite folder [Your Duel Log Collection] cause it have no limit of how much it can store [Latest Duel Log only show 100 Duel Log] and for easy checking it.

Now We go to favourites folder open mylist.txt. you will see a list of number, One Long Line of number you see in Edit Plus is 1 Duel Log.

Here an Example below is a Start and The End of one duellog From My Duel Log Collection

You will see a name of Duel Log file and who participated in it, Take a look at this.

20070408-R15-A-1512490002920497.log is a Duel Log File you need in order to see this duel, you need to put it in your favourites folder.

A Number you see before Player Name is Level, This Duel Log is dueling between Jando7 LV14 VS KARISUMAN LV 22

To share Duel Log

You need to gave your friend .log [Duel Log file] along with mylist.txt [Usually located at C:\Program Files\KONAMI\Yu-Gi-Oh! ONLINE 2\profiles\[Your Player Name]\duellogs\favourites].

For Viewing Duel Log

1.You need to put .log file to favourites folder [Usually located at C:\Program Files\KONAMI\Yu-Gi-Oh! ONLINE 2\profiles\[Your Player Name]\duellogs\favourites] and

2.Open mylist.txt that you received from your friend select a Duel Log you want to see [Each Line represent 1 Duel Log and you can search by player name] then copy it.

3.You need to paste a long line of number that represent Duel Log to your mylist.txt in order to see it on Duel Log Collection Screen.

To Paste it into mylist.txt is very easy, open your mylist.txt right click on the new line select paste.

After pasting it click on file and select save You are done, You can Login to the game and see your friend Duel Logs there.
